The local repository

The algorithms' information is stored in text files with the '.alg' extension. These are archived in subdirectories contained in the program's working 'Algs_dir' directory. It is possible to nest subdirectories.

By default the program displays and allows navigation of the 'Algs_dir'. It also allows deletion, editing or addition of new algs by either a pop-up menu shown by pressing the right mouse button or with the options of the Algs menu. You can also edit the algorithms and the tree structure with any external text editor/file manager.

It is not currently possible to create or delete directories directly from AlgViewer; you can however manipulate the the local repository directory with any external file manager or through synchronization with the central repository.
